The mid-term evaluation of the Preparatory Action "Growth and Audiovisual: i2i Audiovisual" (referred to as i2i PA in this document), entrusted to the company APRIL by the C3 unit of the EAC DG, as an addition to the evaluation of Media Plus and Media Training seems highly complementary insofar as this initiative, while not being part of the Media
Programme, is managed by the Media unit. The present evaluation has three objectives. First, to carry out an inventory of existing needs in the field of financing cinema and audiovisual productions in Europe. Secondly, the strengthening of producers capacity to obtain financing from banks and financial institutions which are already active in the sector and also the development and encouragement of new sources of finance for the sector.
